The original was built in 1760 in Dorchester, Massachussetts.  The high sides and hood provide a virtual draft-free interior.  The extended rockers on cradles such as this not only added stability but allowed mom to attend to other chores while rocking her baby.  Available in solid Cherry, Maple or Walnut and measures 27.3"H x 22.5"W x 41.3"L.
