Bartley's Corner Cupboard is from New England, circa
1750. The proportions, balance, and style unite to form an exceptional example
of early New England cabinetry. It has excellent bracket feet supporting a
base with panel doors and a nicely shaped waist molding. The top blends
perfectly with the base, the door has individual glass panes with the top three
being arched - an unusually nice feature for such an early period piece.
The top molding is bold but adds to the overall balance. Corner cupboards
became very popular in colonial days with the growth of thr china trade.
They provided excellent, safe storage for fine china and also became a wonderful
place to display family treasures. Quite frankly we think this piece will
stand against any corner cupboard, at any price! Offered in Curly Maple,
Cherry and Walnut. Dimensions 81"H x 40"W x 19"D and is 24.5" from corner
of wall to outer edge of cabinet. This kit qualifies for our Pre-Production Special.
