Our table is a beautiful example of the William &
Mary style, crafted throughout 18th-century colonial America. Often called
farm tables, they were used as a work table during the day and then cleared
later for the evening meal. Our table has turned, urn-shaped legs with
connecting stretchers and a shaped apron. The top is made of the finest
woods using battens to cover the exposed end grain and to help prevent cupping
of the top. It will seat up to eight. Our table has a Curly Maple
top and Poplar base, shown here painted. We also offer this table with a Cherry top and Poplar base. Note: Tops of this large
size will move beyond and inside the battens during temperature and humidity
changes. This is normal for solid wood using this type of
construction. Dimensions 29"H x 34.5"W x 72"L.
